Instruction Guide Tiger CPU En 201901 v1.0
If guiding a load by hand, place the palm of a gloved hand on top of the load, never grip the load with fingers on the side or the
underside.
This clamp with pivoting shackle can be used for lifting and transporting plate at various angles, but the load capacity is
reduced, as seen on the diagram below showing the load/force capacities.
The pivoting shackle has the added advantage of providing enough clamping force to hold a plate safely, even when
transporting large-sized plates with a 2-legged lifting system. Slipping or damage to the clamp is prevented.
Pay attention to the correlation between the lifting angle and the rated load. Use within specified angles. When using two
clamps to transport large-sized plates, pay attention to the reduced capacities of the clamps.
Make sure that the plate surface has hardness of up to 300 Brinell (HB) / 32 Rockwell C (HRC).
3. Inspection
According to national and international accident prevention and safety regulations, lifting equipment must be inspected:
in accordance with the risk assessment of the operating company
prior to initial operation
before the unit is put into service for any subsequent use
after substantial changes
however, at least once every 6 months, by a competent person.
The intervals of inspection must be determined by the individual application and are based upon the type of service to which
the clamp will be subjected. In the event of any defects refer the clamp to a Competent Person for thorough examination.
Examinations should include the following:
Examine clamp for wear and distortion.
Examine the clamping jaw, jaw teeth and pad for damage.
Examine the function levers ability to engage and disengage the jaws.
Examine for loose or missing fasteners, stops or nameplates.
Examine for corrosion.
Examine for illegible labels and markings.
