CuttingGrass
•Grassgrowsatdifferentratesatdifferenttimesof
theyear.Inthesummerheat,itisbesttocutgrass
atthe2-inch(51mm),2-1/2inch(64mm),or
3-inch(76mm)cuttingheightsettings.Cutonly
aboutathirdofthegrassbladeatatime.Donot
cutbelowthe2-1/2inch(64mm)settingunlessthe
grassissparseoritislatefallwhengrassgrowth
beginstoslowdown.
•Whencuttinggrassover6inches(15cm)tall,rst
mowatthehighestcuttingheightsettingandwalk
slower;thenmowagainatalowersettingforthe
bestlawnappearance.Ifthegrassistoolongand
theleavesclumpontopofthelawn,themowermay
plugandcausetheenginetostall.
•Alternatethemowingdirection.Thishelpsdisperse
theclippingsoverthelawnforevenfertilization.
Ifthenishedlawnappearanceisunsatisfactory,try
