Withoutthegrassdeector,dischargecover,
orcompletegrasscatcherassemblymounted
inplace,youandothersareexposedtoblade
contactandthrowndebris.Contactwiththe
rotatingmowerblade(s)andthrowndebriswill
causeinjuryordeath.
•Neverremovethegrassdeectorfrom
themowerbecausethegrassdeector
routesmaterialdowntowardtheturf.Ifthe
grassdeectoriseverdamaged,replaceit
immediately.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mower.
•Nevertrytoclearthedischargeareaor
mowerbladesunlessyoumovethepower
takeoff(PTO)toOffandrotatetheignition
keytoOff.Alsoremovethekeyandpullthe
wireoffthesparkplug(s).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Disengagethebladecontrol(PTO).
3.Settheparkingbrake.
4.Stoptheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removethekeybeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
5.Turnthefrontwheelsfullytotheleft.Slidethe
mowerunderthechassisfromtherightside.
6.Installthemowerbeltontothelowerenginepulley
(Figure41).
7.Installthemowerpivotmountbracketsontothe
frontaxlewiththeboltsandlocknuts(Figure42).
