INDEPENDENT CHARGE VERIFICATION WORKSHEET
STEP 5 - Locate the Charging Table (pages 20-21 of
this document) that corresponds to the model being
tested. Using the Outdoor Ambient Temperature
(LINE 1) and Suction Line Pressure (LINE 2) from
the Charge Verification Worksheet, cross-reference
this system’s Liquid Target Temperature. Enter
this amount in LINE 5 of the Charge Verification
Worksheet.

STEP 6 - Using the Liquid Line Pressure measured
in Step 3, determine the Liquid Saturation
Temperature using a standard Pressure and
Temperature Chart. Record the result on LINE 6 of
the Charge Verification Worksheet.
STEP 7 - Calculate the value for Actual Subcooling
and enter the result on LINE 7 of the Charge
Verification Worksheet.
STEP 8 - Calculate the value for Target Subcooling
and enter the result on LINE 8 of the Charge
Verification Worksheet.
STEP 9 - Calculate the Subcooling Difference and
determine if the value is within the tolerance range.
