THE CHAIN BRAKE (See Fig. E)
The chain brake must be activated for the chainsaw to function. The chain brake is a safety
mechanism which will immediately stop the chain when kickback occurs.
Chain brake can be activated by pushing the safety guard from position 1 to position 2. (see
Fig. E.) Chain brake will also be activated automatically when the on/off switch is released.
