Preparing the vacuum cleaner for
operation

Insert the curved hose end in the opening of the vacuum
cleaner and gently press. A characteristic click indicates that
the hose has been properly installed.

Connect the other end of the hose (handle) with the
telescopic suction tube. In order to do so press the locking
device “A” and slide the tube into the hose handle so that
the locking device “A” is blocked in opening “B”.

Adjust the length of the telescopic suction tube by sliding
the slider according to the arrow and pull out/ pull the tube
together.

Assemble the appropriate nozzle or brush to the other
end of the suction tube.

You may assemble a basket for picking up small objects
in the combination brush with the small item separator. In
order to do so remove the blank cover and insert the basket.

To clean hard surfaces – wooden oors, plastic oors,
ceramic tiles etc. pull out the brush by pressing the switch on
the combination brush according to the gure .

Grab the plug (3) and pull the cord out of the vacuum
cleaner.
 Whilepulingoutthecordpayattentiontothe
yellowstripewhichsignalstheendofthecord.
Furtherattempts(pullingoncord)mayresultin
damagingthecord.
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with an „Autorevers“
function, which provides automatic cord rewinding without
necessity of constant pressing the cord rewind knob (12).
In order to start up the function, move the „Autorevers” (11)
knob to position AUTO.

Plug in the appliance.
Before operation make sure that the SAFBAG bag is installed
in the vacuum cleaner chamber and that inlet lter and the
HEPA outlet lter is installed in the appliance.

Switch on the vacuum cleaner by pressing the “on/off”
button (7).

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with an electronic power
control which allows to gradually adjust the vacuum cleaner
suction power during operation. To adjust the suction power
use the power adjustment buttons (6,8) – – to increase
the suction power or – to decrease the suction power.
The suction power setting is indicated by the appropriate
number of lit diodes.
The vacuum cleaner will by default begin operation at the
medium power range. 3 diodes will light on the suction power
level indicator (9).
The suction power may be adjusted during operation.
The recommended settings are:
Setting 1 – vacuuming curtains
Setting 2 – vacuuming upholstery
Setting 3 – cost-effective power
Setting 4 – vacuuming carpets
Setting 5 – vacuuming hard oors and crevices.

The vacuum cleaner type 5000.3 is additionally equipped
with remote suction power control located in the suction hose
handle. It allows to change the suction power without the
necessity to bend down.
In order to use this function, open the battery compartment
in the suction hose handle and insert two1.5V AAA type
batteries or two chargeable 1.2 V AAA type batteries.
 Insert the batteries so that the battery pole
market“+”isalwaysdirectedtowardsthelock
ofthecompartmentmarkedwith“+”.
Use only high quality batteries. Battery leakage may
cause damage to the electronic system.

To use the remote control of the suction power press the
appropriate button on the hose handle ( , ):
To increase the suction power by one setting press the –
button.
To decrease the suction power by one setting press the –
button.

Press the button on the hose handle to temporarily
switch off the appliance and to operate in the STANDBY
mode.
To continue vacuuming press the STANDBY button (18) once
again. The appliance will start operating with the previously
set suction power.
 The infrared transmitter and receiver have to
“see”eachotherinorderfortheremotecontrol
systemtoworkproperly.

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with accessories
compartment. In order to open the compartment pull up the
cover of the accessories compartment (16).

The accessories may be attached to the accessory
holder in the suction hose handle. This way they will be
available for use at any time.

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with the “Parksystem”
function. This function allows to temporarily switch off the
vacuum cleaner using the fastening hook of the combination
brush without the necessity to use the on/off button. In order
to do so, during operation insert the fastening hook of the
combination brush in the combination brush fastening (4).
The vacuum cleaner will automatically switch off.
Filter disassembly
Before changing the lters make sure that the vacuum cleaner
is switched off and unplugged from the mains supply.
INLET FILTER
Release the fastener of the front cover

(15) and open it.
Remove the SAFBAG dust bag module from the vacuum
●
cleaner chamber.

Slide the inlet lter casing with the installed inlet lter from
the tracks on the back side of the vacuum cleaner chamber.
