Examinethedevicefordamage.
Lengthening the cutting string
1. Lettheenginerunatfullthrottleandtapthestring
headontheground.
Thecuttingstringwillbeextendedautomatically.
Thebladeonthesafetyshieldshortensthecutting
stringtothepermissiblelength.
Cleaning the guard
1. Switchoffthedevice.
2. Carefullyremovemowingdebriswithascrewdriveror
similartool.
Cleantheguardregularlytopreventtheshafttube
fromoverheating.
Trimming
1. Examinetheterrainanddeterminethedesiredcut-
tingheight.
2. Guideandholdthestringheadatthedesiredheight.
3. Swingthedevicefromsidetosideinasweeping,
scythe-likemotion.
4. Alwayskeepthestringheadparallelwiththeground.
Close trimming
5.
Holdthedevicesothatitistiltedforwardataslight
angleandmovesjustabovetheground.
6. Alwaystrimawayfromyourbody.
Trimming along fences and foundations
Caution!
Donotcomeintocontactwithsolidstructures–Danger

1. Movetheunitslowlyandcarefullywithoutallowingthe
cuttingstringtohitanyobstacles.
Trimming around tree trunks

Guidethedeviceslowlyandcarefullyaroundtree
trunks,ensuringthatthecuttingstringdoesnottouch
thetreebark.
3. Mowfromlefttorightaroundtreetrunks.
4. Cutgrassandweedswiththetipofthestringand
keepthestringheadtiltedslightlyforwards.
Trimmingalongstonewalls,foundationsandtree
leadstoincreasedstringwear.
Mowing
1. Tiltthestringheadtotherightatanangleof30degrees.
2. Movethehandgriptothedesiredposition.

Removeforeignobjectsfromtheworkingarea.
