1. Refer to Figure 1 or 2 and the following table to determine the
required clearance for mounting the monitor. Make certain
there is enough clearance to allow for monitor oscillation and
elevation.
Elevation Elevation
Monitor Below Above
Model Arc of Oscillation Horizontal Horizontal
_____ ______________ ________ ________
WOM-3 0° through 200° 30° 60°
WOM-4 0° through 165° 24° 90°
2. Before connecting monitor to supply pipe, flush supply pipe to
remove loose particles of scale, rust, etc.
NOTICE
The maximum inlet pressure for the water oscil-
lating monitor is 150 psi (1034 kPa).
3. The monitor inlet consists of a 4 in. flat-faced inlet flange with
8-hole bolting pattern. (See Figure 1 or 2.) The monitor must
be mated to a 150 lb flange (with gasket) matching the hole
pattern of the monitor inlet flange. Cast iron flanges are NOT
ACCEPTABLE. Secure monitor to flange using 5/8 in.
cadmium-plated or stainless steel bolts, washers, and nuts
(supplied by others).
4. The ANSUL Support Stand (Part No. 400987) or other added
support may be required to absorb the monitor operating
force. The actual support required must be determined by
the system designer. (See Figure 3 for ANSUL support stand
mounting dimensions.)

WARNING
!
MONITOR ROTATION IS FORCEFUL ENOUGH TO CAUSE
INJURY IF PERSON IS TRAPPED BETWEEN OSCILLATING
MONITOR AND OTHER STATIONARY STRUCTURES.
M
AKE CERTAIN ENOUGH CLEARANCE IS PROVIDED.
