5. INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENTS
5.1. INSTALLATION OF THE BATEC ON A WHEELCHAIR
To anchor a Batec to a wheelchair, you must first install a BATEC DOCKING-BAR (pat.
pending). The BATEC DOCKING-BAR can be installed on most wheelchairs on the market,
whether fixed or folding frame.
An updated list of wheelchairs compatible with the Batec is
available in the support section of the Batec Mobility website.
The Batec must be installed on a wheelchair by a qualified professional authorised by Batec
Mobility. Contact Batec Mobility to find the authorised installation professional closest to
you.
5.2. USER ADJUSTMENTS
Once the Batec is properly installed on the wheelchair, there are several adjustments that
must be made in order to fit the Batec to the user’s level of mobility, type of disability and
size.
These adjustments can be done easily with the tools and instructions provided with the
Batec and basic mechanical knowledge.
The following adjustments can be made:
• Adjusting the distance between the Batec and the wheelchair.
• Adjusting the angle of the stem on the Batec.
• Adjusting the height of the handlebar on the Batec.
