4.5 Mounting of passive terminals on the CX2100-0xx4
power supply

Note on the mounting of passive terminals
EtherCAT Bus Terminals (ELxxxx/ESxxxx) that do not actively participate in data exchange
within the Bus Terminal block are called passive terminals. These terminals can be recog-
nised by their lack of power consumption from the E-Bus. In order to ensure optimal data
exchange, these may not be connected directly in-line to the power supply!
