4. Using the espresso machine
Fill the water tank to just under maximum level.
Turn on the machine.
The machine will automatically start pumping water from
the water tank into the boiler. So you may hear the sound of
thepumpworking.Afterthemachinehaslledtheboiler,the
machine will begin heating up the water inside the boiler. The
pre-heating temperature will be shown on the PID display. You
can monitor the temperature of the water heating up and watch
the steam pressure gauge go up in pressure while heating.
When the machine has reached the set temperature, it will
automatically stop heating.
Forrsttimeuseorwhenthedisplayshowsthattheboiler
temperature is 25°C the heat up time is approx. 10 minutes.
Note: Even if the heating process has not yet been completed, the
machine can still make espresso, but the coffee and/or hot water
temperature may be low.
Note:Ifthecoffeegroundsistoone,thecoffeecannotcome
out.Ifthereistoomuchcoffeegroundsintheportalterbasket,
theportaltermaynotmakeagoodsealinthegrouphead.
Putthecoffeegroundsintheportalterandtamp.
Locktheportaltercounterclockwisefromlefttorightintothe
grouphead(mustbermlysecured).
Placethecoffeemugorcupundertheportalterspouts.
