Tightening sequence: Tight-
en diagonally
44 lb/ft (60 Nm)
Turn muffler to its initial posi-
tion.
Install screw 2 for muffler
bracket in rear footrest, but do
not tighten it yet.
Align clamp 1 with marking A
on marking on muffler and
tighten screw to specified
torque.
Clamp on muffler and
manifold
41 lb/ft (55 Nm)
If the gap between the rear
wheel and the muffler is too
small, the rear wheel can over-
heat.
The gap between the rear wheel
and the muffler must be at least
0.6 in (15 mm).
