Shell Tuck Stitching
Costura de concha
The Shell Tuck Stitch can be used to sew a picot
(lace-like) edge on lightweight fabric.
La puntada de concha puede utilizarse para coser
bordes con puntilla (parecido al encaje) en telas ligeras.

Set the pattern selection dial to the Shell Tuck
Stitch.
Ajuste el selector de puntadas en la puntada de
concha.

Adjust the thread tension so that it is tighter
than normal.
Ajuste la tensión del hilo para que esté más
tenso de lo normal.

Place the fabric under the presser foot so that
it will be sewn along the bias, with the straight
stitches sewn on the seamline and the zigzag
stitches sewn slightly over the folded edge.
Coloque la tela debajo del pie prensatela para

de costura y con puntadas en zig-zag
ligeramente por encima del borde doblado.

Sew at a slow speed.

Elastic Stitching

You can use the Elastic Stitch for mending, sewing
elastic or joining fabric. Each is explained below.
Set the pattern selection dial to the Elastic Stitch.
La puntada elástica puede utilizarse para zurcir, coser gomas
o unir trozos de tela. A continuación se explica cada opción.

Set the stitch length dial between “F” and 2.5.

Place the reinforcement fabric under the area
you want to mend.

Following the line of the tear, sew using the
Elastic Stitch as shown.
