is
MIDI?
“MIDI”
stands
for
Musical
Instrument
Digital
Interface,
which
is
a
worldwide
standard
for
the
exchange
of
digital
signals
produced
by
electronic
musical
in-
struments
and
devices.
MIDI
lets
you
easily
exchange
data
with
other
MIDI
devices,
regardless
of
maker
or
model.

Mode
allows
you
to
do

this
keyboard

it
possible

you

send

receive

variety

digital
data.

scales

instrument
contains
tones
above
and
below
the
61
keys
(61
scales)
provided
on
the
keyboard,
it
does
not
accommodate
all
128
scales
capable
of
‘being
generated
by
MIDI
systems.
When
this
instrument
has
received
transmission
of
tones
that
are
higher
or
lower
than
the
sound
range
provided,
those
tones
will
be
accommodated
in
one
of
the
two
ways
indicated
below.
The
sound
ranges
provided
by
this
instrument
vary
according
to
the
tone
(see
page
A-4),

tone

the
specifications
of
this
instrument
explained
here

accordance
with
the
prescribed
format
common
to
MIDI
equipment.

the
MIDI
terminals
MIDI
terminals
are
equipped
to
provide
a
place
to
connect
special
MIDI
cables
that
carry
digital
signals
between
MIDI
devices.
The
CTK-530
features
MIDI
IN
and
MIDI
OUT
terminals.
MIDI
IN

is
an
input
terminal
that
connects
to
the
MIDI
OUT
or
MIDI
THRU
terminal
of
another
device.
