Water Leak Alarm

Description of theproduct
• Water leak alarm with three moisture sensors.
• Sounds an alarm for leaking pipes, pipe connections,
wastepipes, and so on.
• Powered by one 6F22/6LR61 battery (9 V).

Assembly
1. Carefully release thesnap lock (9) and open thealarm unit.
2. Install thebattery supplied.
Installation example
1. 1.3 metres of cable with two moisture sensors
2. 1.5 metres of cable with one moisture sensor
3. Tape
4. Burr fastener tape
5. Alarm unit
3. Carefully close thealarm unit.
4. Remove theprotective paper from theself-adhesive burr
fastener tape on theback of thealarm unit and secure theunit
in asuitable location. Rememberto install thealarm unit so that
thesensor cables can reach it when thesensors are in place.
5. Run thecable that has two moisture sensors at thewaste
and at thewater pipes, for example (see theinstallation
example).
6. Run thecable that has one moisture sensors at thewater
and waste pipes of thedishwasher, for example (see
theinstallation example). NOTE: To prevent thealarm
being activated by condensation on thepipes, position
thesensors 1 to 2 centimetres from thepipes.
7. Attach theburr fastener tape (4) to thefloor and press
thesensor’s burr fastener tape onto the burr fastener tape
on the floor.
8. Apply thetape (3) straight over thesensors so that they
make good contact with thefloor.
9. Connect thecables to theinputs of thealarm unit (7).
Use
• If aleak has developed and thealarm is activated it will
sound for about 14 days by emitting three short audible
signals (“beeps”) in succession.
• If themoisture sensors have become wet, unplug
thecables from thealarm unit and allow thesensors to dry
thoroughly. Theycan then be used again.
Care and maintenance
• Test thebattery by pressing thetest button (7). Ifthebattery
is fully charged, thealarm emits three short beeps.
• If thebattery needs to be replaced, thealarm emits one
short beep every 30 seconds.
Waste management
When thetime comes to dispose of theproduct, do so in ac-
cordance with local regulations. Ifyou are not sure what to do,
ask your local authority.
