• Mowerbladesare sharpandcan cut. Wrapthe bladeor wear
gloves,anduseextracautionwhenservicingthem.
Keepall nuts,bolts,andscrewstighttobe suretheequipmentis
insafeworkingcondition.
Nevertamperwithsafetydevices.Checktheirproperoperation
regularly.
Afterstrikinga foreignobject,stoptheengine,disconnectthe
sparkplugwireand groundagainstthe engine.Thoroughly
inspectthe mowerfor anydamage.Repairthedamagebefore
startingandoperatingthemower.
Neverattempttomakea wheelorcuttingheightadjustmentwhile
theengineisrunning.

Donot changethe engine'sgovernorsettingor over-speedthe
engine.Thegovernorcontrolsthemaximumsafeoperatingspeed
oftheengine.
Checkfuelline,tank,cap,andfittingsfrequentlyfor cracksor
leaks.Replaceifnecessary.
Donot crankenginewith sparkplugremoved.
• Maintainor replacesafetyandinstructionlabels,asnecessary.
• Observeproperdisposallawsand regulations.Improperdisposal

certifiedto operateon regularunleadedgasoline,and mayinclude

Thismachineisequippedwithaninternalcombustionengineand
shouldnotbe usedonor nearanyunimprovedforest-covered,

systemisequippedwitha sparkarrestermeetingapplicablelocalor
statelaws(if any).
Ifa sparkarresterisused,itshouldbemaintainedineffectiveworking
orderbytheoperator.IntheStateofCaliforniatheaboveisrequired
bylaw(Section4442oftheCaliforniaPublicResourcesCode).Other
