System code buttons
DENON remote-controflable audio components can be controlled using this unit's remote control unit.
Note that some components, however, cannot be operated with this remote contro! unit.
@ Sat the slide switch to the position for the component
to be operated (CD or DECK).
@ Use the buttons shown below to operate the component.
For details, refer to the respective component's manual.

The power tums on sand “STANDBY” indicator is Ht
witch is set to the “a ON/STANDBY” position until sound is output.
This is due to the built-in muting circuit that prevents noise when the
POWER operation switch is tumed on and off.
‘Set the POWER operation switch to this position to tum the
power on and off from the included remote control unit (RC-840).

The power tums off and "STANDBY" indicator is off.
in this position, the power cannot be tumed on and off from the
remote control unil.

NOTE:
In the standby mode
It you lose the remote control unit, the power can be
tumed on by initializing the microprocessor.

Note that this operation will clear the Jast function
memory.

Tum the control counterclockwise to reduce the volume of the
fight channel, clockwise to reduce the volume of the leit
channel.

4-3 Simulcast playback
Use this switch to monitor a video source other than the audio source.
@ Press and hoid the VIDEO SELECT button until the
desired source appears on the display.

4-4 Using the muting function
Use this to tum off the audio output temporarily.

The STANDBY LEO flashes when the muting function is set.

4-5 Listen with headphones
Connect the headphones to the PHONES jack.
When listening with headphones privately, set A, B SPEAKER
switches and the superwoofer’s power switch to the OFF position
and set the stereo surround mode.
NOTE:
To prevent heating loss, do not raise the volume level excessively
when using headphones.
