Distance
Set distance from listening position to speakers.
Before making the settings, measure the distance from the
listening position to the different speakers.
[Variable range]
0.0 ~ 9.0 M
: Display when “M” is set.
0 ~ 30 FT
: Display when “FT” is set.
Crossover Frequency
Select crossover frequency from which subwoofer handles low
range signal.
• For speakers set to “S”, sound below the crossover frequency is
cut from the sound output. The cut bass sound is output from the
subwoofer or front speakers.
• Always set the crossover frequency to “120HZ”. When using small
speakers, however, we recommend setting the crossover frequency
to a higher frequency.
Unit
Select unit for distance.
Distance measurement
Select the speaker you want to set, then set the distance.
Set the value closest to the measured distance.

: Play low range and LFE signal of channels set to “S”.
SW+
: Play low range and LFE signal of all channels.
Subwoofer Mode Setup
Select low range signal to be reproduced by subwoofer.

• Play music or a movie source and select the mode offering the
strongest bass.
• Select “SW+” if you want the bass signals to always be produced
from the subwoofer.

• When “Front Speaker” is set to “S”, “Subwoofer” is automatically
setto“Y”.
• If “Subwoofer” is set to “N”, “Front Speaker” is automatically set to
“L”.
• When “Front Speaker” is set to “S”, “Center Speaker” and “Surround
Speaker” can not be set to “L”.

Select subwoofer use.

Only the portion of the bass sound of the various speakers output
from the subwoofer that has a frequency below the frequency set
here is output.
Set this according to the low frequency reproduction capabilities of
the speakers you are using.

: Select this when using large speakers with ample low frequency
reproduction capabilities.
S
: Select this when using small speakers without ample low
frequency reproduction capabilities.
