Use a hex. wrench a .5 mm) to adjust from the hole of the bottom
plate on the main unit.

countermeasures
to
prevent
damage
from
static
elec-
tricity
before
proceeding
the
optical
adjustment.

When
replacing
the
following
parts,
optical
adjustment
[slant
adjustment
for
the
disc
motor]
will
be
required.
1. The disc motor.
2. The laser pick-up.
3. The Traverse motor unit.
4.
The
parts
around
the
laser
pick-up
(rail,
etc.).
Remarks:
Though
basically
adjustment
is
not
necessary
for
other
parts
in
the
traverse,
perform
adjustment
if
the
picture
quality
be-
comes
poor.
Optical
adjustment
inside
the
laser
pickup
is
not
possible.
Perform
slant
adjustment
of
the
disc
motor
after
re-
placing
the
optical
pickup
unit.

Basically
adjustment
is
not
necessary
after
replacing
the
traverse unit.

Perform
adjustment
according
to
adjustment
procedures.
Safekeeping
&
Management
for
the
Test
Disc

The
flat
surface
accuracy
is
required
for
the
DVD
Test
disc.
Pay
attention
to
safekeeping
and
management
for
the
test
tapes.
.
Do
not
put
the
test
disc
directly
on
your
work
desk
etc.
after
using.
2.
Handle
it
carefully
to
keep
flat
surface,
and
keep
it
vertical
putting
in
it’s
case
after
using.
Also,
keep
it
in
normal
tem-
perature
and
do
not
expose
the
direct
sun
and
direct
wind
of
the
air
conditioner.
If
the
test
disc
is
warped,
adjustment
can
not
be
performed
properly.
You
can
check
it
by
putting
it
on
a
flat
glass
sur-
face
if
it
is
warped.
Perform
optical
adjustment
using
anew
test
disc.
4.
If
adjustment
is
performed
using
a
warped
test
disc,
some
disc may be not able to play-backed properly.
