PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Tool will not start. The extension cord and/or plug is defective. Have the extension cord and/or plug checked by a qualified
electrician and replaced if necessary.
Internal componets too hot. Allow tool to cool down.
Brushes worn out. Have brushes replaced by an authorized D
e
WALT service center.
Reduced Power. The extension cord is too long and/or its gauge
is inadequate.
Use an extension cord of an approved length and/or of
adequate gauge.
The voltage provided by the electric supply
is inadequate.
Connect the hammer to an adequate electric supply.
The chisel cannot be released. The chuck is not pulled back fully. Pull the chuck back as far as it will go and remove the chisel. Refer
to Inserting and Removing SDS MAX Chisels.
