Replacing bulbs
Before replacing a burnt-out bulb, make sure that the new
one matches the voltage and wattage specifications in the
“Electrical System” paragraph on page 78. Always check
that the new bulb works before refitting all the parts.
Headlight
To access the headlight bulbs, loosen the lower screw (1)
that attaches the lens/reflector assembly to the shell.
Disconnect the wiring connector (2, fig. 47) from the
headlight bulb. Release the bulb retaining clip (3, fig. 47)
and remove the bulb from its housing.
Notes
Be careful to hold the new bulb at the base only.
Never touch the transparent body with your fingers or it
will blacken resulting in reduced bulb brilliancy.
