Cleaning Cylinder Fins
1. Remove spark plug.
2. Remove engine cover (seven screws) and clean cylinder fins to
allow cooling air to pass freely.
EXHAUST SYSTEM
Spark Arrestor Screen
Level 2.
Tools Required: Cross Head Screwdriver. Scrench. 3 mm Allen wrench,
4 mm Allen wrench.
Parts Required: Spark arrestor screen P/N 14586240630, gasket P/N
14586642031.
IMPORTANT
Carbon deposits in cylinder exhaust port and muffler will cause a
drop in engine output and overheating. Muffler exhaust port and
spark arrestor screen must be checked periodically.
1. Remove spark plug, recoil starter and engine cover (six screws).
2. Remove spark arrestor cover (A), gasket (B) and spark arrestor
screen (C) from muffler. Replace screen if plugged with carbon
deposits.
3. Install spark arrestor screen, gasket, diffuser and cover.
4. Be sure gasket seals muffler spark arrestor screen to muffler.
