The starting procedures is the same as Cold Start except DO NOT close
the choke.
WARNING DANGER
The cutting attachment should not rotate at idle. If cutting attach-
ment moves, readjust carburetor according to "Carburetor Adjust-
ment" instructions in this manual or see your ECHO Dealer,
otherwise serious personal injury may result.
1. Stop Switch - Start/Run. Move stop switch button (A) forward away
from the STOP position.
2. Primer - Pump Bulb. Pump primer bulb (C) until fuel is visible in the
"Clear" fuel return line.

4A. Start
Lay the trimmer on a flat clear area. Firmly grasp rear handle grip
and throttle lockout with left hand and fully depress throttle
trigger to wide open position. Rapidly pull recoil starter handle/
rope (D) until engine fires (or maximum five [5] pulls).
5A. After engine fires (or five [5] pulls), move choke to “Run” posi-
tion. Hold throttle trigger fully depressed and pull recoil starter
handle/rope (D) until engine starts and runs. Release throttle
trigger and allow unit to warm up at idle for several minutes.

4B. Start - Pull Rope.
Lay the trimmer on a flat clear area and pull the recoil starter
handle (D) until engine fires.
5B. Open Choke - Run.
Move the choke to the OPEN - RUN position. Restart engine if
necessary and allow to warm up running at idle for several
minutes.
All Models
NOTE
If engine does not start with choke in “Run” position after 5 pulls,
repeat instructions 4 (A/B) and 5 (A/B).
6. After engine warm up, gradually depress throttle trigger to increase
engine RPM to operating speed.
