Preparing the Trimmer/Brush Cutter for Blade Use

Blade use DEMANDS specific Brush Cutter configuration. Operation without specified shield and harness can result
in serious personal injury. Follow installation instructions included in optional kits.

Grass/Weed Blades Require:
Install Blade Conversion Kit, P/N
99944200415 - Includes metal shield (A),
barrier bar (B), and shoulder harness (C).
NOTE
The Barrier Bar is NOT A HANDLE and
should not be gripped when using or
carrying the unit.
NOTE
The Barrier Bar is used to restrict rearward movement of the unit. For heavy-duty or extended use, U-handles should
be used. See your Echo dealer or Trimmer/Brush Cutter Safety Manual for details regarding U-Handles. If you have
additional questions, contact your Echo Service Dealer, or call Echo directly at 1-800-673-1558.
Brush/Clearing Blades Require:
Install U-Handle / Blade Conversion Kit,
P/N 99944200561 - Includes metal shield
(A), shoulder harness with hip pad (C),
and U-Handles (D).
