5 STORAGE AND HANDLING
Because cleanliness is essential to
thesatisfactory operation and tightness of
a Series 9000 pilot operated relief valve,
precautions should be taken to keep out all
foreign particles and materials. Valves should
be closed off properly at both the valve inlet
and outlet. Particular care should be taken
to keep the valve inlet absolutely clean.
Valvesshould preferably be stored indoors
with the original factory installed protective
measures left in place. This includes all
desiccants, flange protectors, and factory seals.
