Safety
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Certain exposed parts inside
thespeaker casing carry dangerous current. Contact with these can lead to fire or
electric shock.
• As theadaptor plug is used to disconnect theunit from themains, it must be
easily accessible at all times to enable themains plug to be disconnected as
quickly as possible.
• The speaker’s adaptor must only be connected to astandard domestic 100–240 V,
50/60 Hz electrical supply.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface. Never cover thespeaker and always
position thespeaker in such away that air can flow freely around it.
• Do not place thespeaker in such aposition where there is arisk that it may fall into
water or other liquids. Do not place any liquid containing objects such as vases,
drinks, etc. onto theproduct.
• Do not place thespeaker near open flames such as wood stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Position thespeaker where there is no risk of people tripping over thespeaker’s
adaptor lead.
• This product is intended for indoor use only.
• Never subject theproduct to high temperature, dust, heavy vibration, impacts,
humidity or moisture.
• Do not abuse theadaptor or its lead. Never unplug theproduct by pulling on its
adaptor lead. Always grip theplug itself. Make sure that thelead does not come
into contact with heat, sharp edges or is crushed in any way.
• Unplug theadaptor from thewall socket during thunderstorms or if thespeaker is
not to be used for along time.
• The speaker’s [ ON/OFF ] (13) switch is asecondary connection and does not
completely disconnect it from themains. To completely disconnect thespeaker
from themains, theadaptor must be unplugged from thewall socket.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• Do not use thespeaker if it, its adaptor or adaptor lead is damaged in any way.
• The speaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
