Why is my Frigidaire EFIC239 Ice Maker making ice too slowly?
- KKenneth WilliamsJul 30, 2025
If your Frigidaire Ice Maker is displaying 'E1' and making ice too slowly, it could be due to several reasons. The ambient or water temperature might be too high. Ensure the ambient temperature is below 90°F and use colder water. Also, make sure the hot air outlet has at least 15 cm of ventilation and the water temperature is between 44.6°F - 89.6°F. You can also try pressing the ICE button twice to restart the ice-making program. If the issue persists, it could be refrigerant liquid leakage, a broken cover motor, a blocked pipe in the cooling system, or a malfunctioning refrigeration system, which requires verification by a qualified technician.
