Trouble-Shooting
Cleaning Burn Pot
Wheneveryourstoveisnotburning,taketheopportunityto
scrapetheburnpottoremovecarbon buildup.A vacuum
cleanerishandytoremovetheresidue.Besurethestove
iscoldifyouuseavacuum.
Carbonbuildupcanbescrapedloosewiththereburning
usingthespecialtoolprovidedwithyourstove.Scrapethe
oorandsidesoftheburnpot.Thecarbonwillbepushedout
bytheincomingfuel.Alwayswearglovestodothis.
Removing Ashes
TurntheTempDialtonumber1approximately30minutes
beforeremovingashes.Thiswillresultinacoolerstoveand
ashpan.
Maximum FeedAdjustersettings are not needed in most
cases.Operatinginthenormalrange(#4)isrecommended
whenmaximumheatoutputisnotrequired.TheESPprobe
preventsthestovefrombeingover-red.
Keepthestovefreeofdustanddirt.

Fuel
STOVE DOES NOT FEED
1. Nofuelinhopper.
2. Fireboxdraftmaybetoolowforsensingswitchinfeeder
circuit to operate. Check for closed doors, loose or
missinggasketondoorsorhopperlid.
3. Hopperlidmustcontactthelidpositionswitch.
4. Feedmotorwillnotrununtilthe ESPcontrolsensesa
certaintemperature.Maybeyoudidnotputenoughfuel
orstartinggelintheburnpotbeforemanuallylightingthe
re.
5. Restrictioninthehopperorfeeder.Removeallfueland
examine.Cleartheobstruction.
6. Feedmotorhasfailed.
PARTIALLY BURNED PELLETS
1. Feedratetoohigh.
2. Poorairtofuelmixture.(Checkburnpotclean-outcover
andairintake).
3. Burn pot or heat exchanger tubes may need to be
cleaned.
4. Combinationofalltheabove.
5. #6 status blink:A6blinkcontrolboardstatusindication
iscausedbypoororincompletecombustion.Thecircuit
boardhastheabilitytotrackthecombustionthroughfeed
settingsandESPtemperatures.Whenthecontrolboard
hascalculatedpoororincompletecombustion,itwillshut
downtheunitasasafety feature. (Poor orincomplete
combustionisacontributorofcreosotewhichmaycause
achimneyre)
A6blinkstatusmaybecausedbyseveralthings:
1. Blockedorpartiallyblockedue.
2. Blockedorpartiallyblockedinletair.
a. Backdraft damper on the inlet pipe may be stuck
closed.
b. If outside air is installed, the inlet cover may be
blocked.
3. Theairchamberundertheburnpotmaybelledwithnes
andsmallbitsofash.
4. Theholesintheburnpotmaybegettinglledwithashor
carbonbuildup.
5. Combustionblowerfanbladesmayneedcleaned.
6. Fuelrestrictionsasnotedabove.
SMOKE SMELL
Sealtheventpipejointsandconnectiontostovewithsilicone.
Theexhaustventistheonlypartofthesystemthatisunder
positivepressure.
FIRE HAS GONE OUT- Check for status light.
1. Nofuelinhopper.
2. Draftistoolow,blockedue.
3..Somethingisrestrictingfuelow.
4. Hopperlidnotclosedproperly.
5.Feedmotororcombustionblowerhasfailed.

TheAccentraisapprovedforburninganygradeofpelletized
bio-massfuel.Itisalsoapprovedforburningshelledcornin
amixturewithwoodpellets,upto50%.(SeePage46)
It should be noted, however, that higher ash content will
requiremorefrequentashremoval,scrapingoftheburnpot,
andmayprovidelessBTU'sperpound.
Themoisturecontentofpelletsmustnotexceed8%,and
cornmustnotexceed15%.HighermoisturewillrobBTU's
andmaynotburnproperly.
Fuel should not be stored within the stove installation
clearancesorwithinthespacerequiredforchargingandash
removal.SeePage14.
