recommended.Toinstalloutsideair,use2¾”I.D.metal
expipe,part#2-00-08544(12’6”length)orpart#2-00-
08545(25’length).Thereisabreak-awayholeontherear
panelwhichmustberemovedbeforeconnectingtheex
pipe.SeeFig.28.Thepipeshouldberunoutsideand
terminate3feetormorebelowor1footormoretothe
sideoftheventpipeoutlet.Neverterminatetheoutside
airabovetheventpipeoutlet.Themaximumlengthofthis
pipeis25feet.Inletcover,part#1-10-09542shouldbe
usedtokeepbirds,rodentsetc.outoftheinletpipe.See

NOTE:Ifoutsideairisinstalled,theinletcovershouldnot
beplacedinanareawheredriftingofsnoworicewillbuild
up,blockingtheintakeairsupply.
OnlymetalIntakeFlexshouldbeusedfortheOutsideAir

OnlyascreenedorrodentprotectedOutsideAirIntakecover
shouldbeusedasanoutsideweathercover.
TheOutsideAirIntakePipeisinsidetheFeederCoverand
totherightofthefeedermotor.The2¾”steelexpipeis
madetoslideovertheoutsideoftheAirIntakePipe.See

Heatrisesinthehouseandleaksoutatupperlevels.This
airmustbereplacedwithcoldairfromoutdoorswhichows
into lower levels of the house. Vents and chimneys into
basementsandlowerlevelscanbecometheconduitforair
supplyandreverseundertheseconditions.
Theoutsideairsupplywillsupplymostofthedemandsof
thepelletappliancetoresistback-drafting,butconsideration
mustbegiventothetotalhousedemand.Itmaybenecessary
toaddadditionalventilationtothespaceinwhichthepellet
applianceislocated.ConsultwithyourHVACprofessionalto
determinetheventilationdemandsforyourhouse.
