Playback Region Number
Both the DVD player and the discs are coded by region. These regional codes must match in order for the
disc to play. If the codes do not match, the disc will not play.
• Some discs include region codes as shown on the right.
• The number inside the symbol refers to a region of the world, and a disc encoded in a specifi c region format
can only be played back on DVD player with the same region code.
• The Region Number is described as 2 for this TV set.
