Excessive tilt angle during operation
can cause propeller ventilation,
overheating, and water pump
damage.

Use the power tilt switch to trim the
outboard motor for the best
performance and stability.
Press the UP or DN (down) side of
the switch to adjust the angle of the
outboard motor.
It is necessary to trim the angle of the
outboard motor to compensate for
changes in boat load, weight
distribution, water conditions, or
propeller selection.
Under normal conditions, the boat
will perform best when the
antiventilation plate is level with the
water.
