Remove the system air baffle and PCI card guide
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the
internal system components to cool before touching them.
CAUTION: Do not operate the server for long periods with the access panel open or removed.
Operating the server in this manner results in improper airflow and improper cooling that can
lead to thermal damage.
1. Power down the server (on page 16).
2. Unlock the bezel (on page 17).
3. Remove the access panel (on page 18).
4. Remove any full-length expansion boards installed in slot 1, 3, or 5, if installed ("Expansion boards" on
page 38).
5. Disconnect the PCI fan cable, if installed ("System board components" on page 11).
6. Remove the system air baffle and PCI card guide.
