3. Remove the battery (3).
NOTE: After the battery has been removed, inspect the display assembly for tape residue. Tape
residue left on the display assembly can affect the installation of the replacement battery.
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
Front-facing webcamera

Front-facing webcamera (includes cable) 743873-001
Before removing the front-facing webcamera, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.
4. Remove the tablet cover (see
Tablet cover on page 12).
5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see
Battery on page 15).
Remove the front-facing webcamera:
1. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) to which the front-facing webcamera cable is
attached, and then disconnect the front-facing webcamera cable from the system board.
