Getting Started
Setup wizard
Read the Quick Start Guide carefully before using your device for the first time and ensure that
the Nano SIM card is inserted correctly.
Press and hold the power button to turn on your device. Follow the onscreen instructions to
complete initial setup.
1 Select your language and region, and then touch NEXT.
2 Read the user terms and Huawei Privacy Policy carefully and then touch AGREE > AGREE
to accept.
3 Follow the onscreen instructions to enable Wi-Fi+.
4 Your device will automatically list nearby Wi-Fi networks. Select a network and enter the
password to connect.
5 Touch From HiSuite or From old phone(with Phone Clone) to migrate data to your new
device, or touch SET AS NEW PHONE > OK to skip this step.
You can always migrate data later by going to Settings > Advanced Wi-Fi settings >
Data transmission.
6 Follow the onscreen instructions to add your fingerprint. You must also set a PIN or password
to unlock the screen in case fingerprint recognition fails.
It is important to remember this password so that you are always able to unlock your
device.
7 Touch GET STARTED to complete setup. Once EMUI launches, your device is ready for use.
Connecting to the Internet
Connect to the Internet over Wi-Fi or mobile data to browse websites, check your emails, and
chat to friends.
Connecting to a Wi-Fi network
1 Pull down the status bar to open the notification panel.
2 Touch and hold
to open the Wi-Fi settings screen.
3 Switch on Wi-Fi. Your device will list available Wi-Fi networks.
4 Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to: If the network is encrypted, enter the
password when prompted.
