To
install
a
DIMM:
1.
Remove
the
cover.
See
“Removing
the
cover”
on

might
have
to
remove
an
adapter
to
gain
access
to
the
DIMM
slots.

Locate
the
DIMM
connectors.
See
“Identifying
parts
on
the
system
board”

4.
Open
the
retaining
clips.
5.
Make
sure
the
notches
in
the
DIMM
align
with
the
tabs
on
the
connector.
Push
or
insert
the
DIMM
straight
down
into
the
connector
until
the
retaining
clips
close.

This

computer

expansion
slots
for
PCI
adapters.
One
slot,
used
for
an
AGP
adapter,
is
available
on
some
models.
You
can
install
an
adapter
up
to
228
mm
(9
inches)
long
in
the
AGP
slot,
PCI
slot
2,
or
PCI
slot
3.
You
can
install
an
adapter
up
to
200
mm
(7.9
inches)
long
in
PCI
slot
1.
