6.4 1040 Hard Disk Drive
Warning:
The hard disk drive has sensitive parts.
Improper handling of
it can cause damage to, and permanent loss of data on, the hard disk.
Before removing the hard disk drive, have the user back up all the
information from the hard disk.
Warning:
To avoid damaging to the flexible cables, carefully unplug the
two connectors from the system board.

Note:
When you replace the hard disk drive with a new one, make sure the
system information is restored onto the system partition using the
customer's backup copy of the Reference Diskette (see
"Replacing
the Hard Disk Drive" in topic 2.1.3
).
