20 Flying the IKARUS C42 Series with removed doors
Under the following conditions, the IKARUS C42 Series may be flown with
the dismantled doors:
- All loose items (maps, documents) should be properly secured.
- The dropping of objects during flight is prohibited.
- Maximum speed for flights with one or both doors removed is 81 kn
(150 km/h) IAS.
- Side-slipping is not permitted with dismantled doors.
- Turbulence in the cockpit will increase when the flaps are set to
position III.
Please be advised that towing glider planes or banner is subject to
authorization of local authorities and is independent on the airplanes
capabilities.
21 Additional instructions for dropping skydivers
1. Personnel requirements
In order to use the micro-light aircraft C42 SERIES to drop skydivers, the
following requirements must be fulfilled:
- The pilot must have a valid licence and flight experience of at least 100
hours as well as the aeronautical radio telecom licence.
- The skydiver must have a valid licence and have carried out at least
100 jumps with manual release and at least 12 jumps in the last 12
months.
