Please
follow
the
specified
tightening
methods.
3)
Make sure
that the
surfaces of
threads and pedestal
are clean
and coated
with engine
oil.
II.
Precautions
on
Sealant
1.
Removal
of Sealant
After dismounting fixing nuts and bolts, use the
scraper to detach the matching faces and remove
old sealant.
Attention:
■
Do
not
damage
the
matching
faces.
■
Insert
the
scraper
,
and
then
knock
its
side
to slide it as shown in
the figure.
■
For
the
positions
where
it
is
difficult
to use
scraper, lightly knock the parts to dismount
them with a
plastic hammer
.
■
If
you
have no
choice
but
to us
e the
tools
such as a screwdriver, be careful not to
damage the matching faces.
2.
Application
Steps
of
Sealant
1)
Remove the
attached o
ld sealant
from the
application and matching faces of liner with
scraper.
Attention:
■
Thoroughly
remove the old sealant from
the groove on surfaces, fixing bolts and
bolt
holes where the sealant was applied.

2) Wipe sealant surface and
matching surface clean
with a
special cle
aner,
remove water
drops, grease
and foreign
substances.
