When connecting or disconnecting interconnect cables, the integrated amplier should be
placed in MUTE MODE (red MUTE indicator LED on the front panel ON).
(1) UNBALANCED INPUTS: If you are using unbalanced RCA interconnects from your source
components (CD player, tuner, etc.), they should be connected to unbalanced INPUTS 1 and
2. If you have had the optional phono section installed in the CONTINUUM S2, the
interconnects from the turntable should be installed into INPUT 1. For more information
about the phono option, please contact your dealer.
(2) BYPASS INPUTS: If the CONTINUUM S2 is installed in a home theater or sound system, the
Left Front and Right Front output connections from the surround processor should be
installed in the BYPASS input connections. The CONTINUUM S2 will only accept unbalanced
RCA interconnects from the surround processor.
(3) UNBALANCED LINE OUTPUTS: The CONTINUUM S2 also has one pair of RCA unbalanced
line level outputs. Use these outputs if your amplier does not accept balanced inputs.
Also, these outputs can be used simultaneously with the balanced inputs to feed a second
