4-9. Adjusting the feed timing
1) Remove the top cover.
2) Turn the handwheel to bring the needle to the
upper dead point.
3) At this time, adjust so that screw No. 1

positioned at eleven o'clock position as viewed
from the handwheel side. Then, tighten the
screw No. 1.
4) Adjust the position of the walking bar lifting ec-
centric so that screw No. 1

of the feed cam
and screw No. 1

of the walking bar lifting ec-
centric are ush with each other. Then, tighten
the screws.
When the feed dog comes down until
the top end of feed dog is aligned with
the top surface of throat plate, the
center of needle eyelet in descending
needle is aligned with the top surface
of throat plate.
