Electrical
components
having

are
identified

shading
on
the
schematics
and
by
( 5 )
on
the
Parts
Li
st
in t
he
Service
Manual.
The
use
of
a
sub-
stitute
replacement
which
does
not
have
the
same
safety
characteristics
as
the
recommended
replacement
part
shown
in
the
Parts
List
of
Service Manual
may
create
shock,
fire,
or
othe
r
ha
zards.
4.
The
leads in
the
products
are
routed
and
dressed
with
ties, c l
amps
,
tub
ings,
barriers
and
the
l
ike
to
be
sepa
rated
from
live
parts,
high
temperature
parts,
mo
ving
parts
and/or
sharp
edges
for
the
prevent
ion
of
electr
ic
shock
and
fire
hazard.
When
service
is
required
, t he original lead
rout
ing
and
dress
should
be
observed,
and
it
should
be
confirmed
that
they
have
been
return
ed
to
norma
l,
after
re-ass
embling
.

Leakage
current
check
(

re-assembling
the
product

perform
an
isolation
check
on
the
exposed
metal
parts
of
the
product
(antenna
terminals
,
kno
bs.
metal
cabinet.
screw
heads,
headphone
jack,
con
trol
shafts,
etc.)

re

product

safe
to
operate
without
danger
of
electrical
shock.
Do
not
use
a li
ne
iso
lation
transformer
during
this
check.
Plug
the
AC
line
cord
directly
into
the
AC
outlet.
Using a
"Leakage
Current
Tester",
measure
the
leakage
current
from
each
exposed
metal
part
of
the
cabinet.
particularly
any
exposed
metal
part
having a
return
path
to
the
chassis,
to
a
known
good
earth
ground.
Any
leakage
current
must
not
exce
ed
0.5
mA
AC
(r.
m.s.).
Alternate
check
method
Plug
the
AC
line
cord
directly
into
the
AC
outlet.
Use
an
AC
voltmeter
having 1
,0
00
ohms
per
v
olt
or
more
sensi-
tivity
in
the
following
manner.
Connect
a
1,500.Q
10W
r
esistor
paralleled
by
a 0 .
15µF
AC-type
capac
itor
be
-
tween
an
exposed
metal
part
and
a
known
good
earth

round.
Measure
the
AC
voltage
across
the
resistor
with
the
AC
voltmeter.
