Install A Fully Charged Battery

Open the battery cover in the direction of the
arrow.

Remove the battery’s protective cap and insert
the battery + – first.

Close the battery cover.
LOADING A CASSETTE

Turn on the power, then slide the OPEN/EJECT
switch in the direction of the arrow. The
cassette cover releases. Open the cover in the
direction of the arrow until it locks. The holder
opens automatically.

Insert a tape.

Close the holder and it recedes automatically.

Close the cassette cover.
RECORDING
1
Pull out the viewfinder and align the mark with
“STANDBY”. The lens cover opens
automatically.

Set the Power Dial to “REC”, then press
RECORDING START/STOP. A “beep” signals
the start of recording.

To pause during recording, press RECORDING
START/STOP. Two beeps indicate the
RECORD/STANDBY mode.

When you’re finished, push the viewfinder in,
aligning its mark with “CAMERA OFF”.
PLAYBACK
1
Pull out the viewfinder. The lens cover opens
automatically.

Set the Power Dial to “PLAY”.

Slide open the camcorder’s Operation Panel
cover.

Press REW to rewind the tape to the beginning.
5
Press PLAY and watch what you’ve recorded in
the viewfinder.
6
When you’re finished, press STOP.
