4. Attaching/Removing the Mulching Insert
WARNING
• Do not at any time make any adjustment to the
lawn mower without rst stopping the motor,
removing the battery pack, and waiting for the
blade to stop rotating.
a. Remove the battery.
b. Lift the rear-discharge door (N).
c. Grasp the handle of the mulching insert (S)
and fully insert it into the mower so that it is
securely seated.
d. Release the rear-discharge door and make
sure that it rests rmly against the mulching
insert.
e. To remove the mulching insert, lift the rear-discharge door, grasp the handle of the
mulching insert, and pull the mulching insert out.
NOTICE: The mulching insert must be removed in order to install and use the grass bag and
must be re-installed when the grass bag is removed.
5. Attaching/Removing the Side-Discharge
Chute
WARNING
• Do not at any time make any adjustment to the
lawn mower without rst stopping the motor,
removing the battery pack, and waiting for the
blade to stop rotating.
a. Remove the battery.
b. Lift the side-discharge door (Q).
c. Align the holes of the side-discharge chute (R)
with the protrusions of the doorsill. Release
the side-discharge door and make sure that it
locks rmly against the side-discharge chute.
d. To remove the side-discharge chute, lift the
side-discharge door, grasp the side-discharge chute and pull it out.
