Removing the cylinder head and piston
– Remove the lower camshaft bearing bridge 1, remove the dowels.
– Take the shims out of the spring retainers and mark their mounted
positions.
NOTE: you will only need to check the valve clearance after
assembling; if valves or other parts in the valve control or replaced, the
valve clearance will need to be readjusted.
– Remove the screws from the chain guide
2, the cylinder head 3
and the cylinder base 4.
– Pull the timing chain guide
5 out of the timing chain compartment.
– Loosen the cylinder head crews crosswise and remove together with
the washers.
