8.16. COOLING SYSTEM INSPECTION
Place the machine on the level ground.
Remove the two fasteners (1) and then remove front cover.

Check the coolant level in the coolant reservoir when the
engine is cold as the coolant level will vary with engine
temperature. The coolant level should be between the
maximum and minimum marks.
If the level is low, remove the coolant reservoir cap, and then
add coolant or distilled water to raise it to the specified level.
If your ATV overheats, see CH 8.18 for details.
Hard water or salt water is harmful to the engine. You may use
distilled water if you cannot get soft water.
Recommended Coolant Solution
Coolant Mixture Ratio Water 50%: Antifreeze 50%(1:1)
