Prepare to Braze
Prepare AHU Control Box if EXV is Inside the Box
1. The seal on the refrigerant piping connections should
remain in place until the last possible moment. This
will prevent dust or moisture from getting into the
refrigerant piping before it is connected.
2. Remove plastic caps from liquid line connections.
3. Swage eld-provided connective piping, do not swage
factory pipe stub.
CAUTION
Coil sensors shall not be installed prior to brazing as
damage to the sensor can occur due to excessive heat.
IMPORTANT
The Clean Air Act of 1990 bans the intentional venting
of refrigerant (CFC’s and HCFC’s) as of July 1, 1992.
Approved methods of recovery, recycling or reclaiming
must be followed. Fines and/or incarceration may be
levied for non-compliance.
