If at all possible do not rip open the motor cable
Cuts in the motor cable due to contactors or switches are potential interfering radiators since the
motor cable shield is interrupted. For this reason please avoid to rip open the motor cable.
If it is indispensable to rip open the motor cable, the following must be observed:
z Connect the shield directly before and behind the cut to the mounting plate with a surface as
large as possible. Do not exceed an unshielded cable length of max. 40 mm.
z Install the cut points with a distance of at least 100 m to the other components on the
mounting plate.
z If EMC interferences occur check whether an additional motor interference suppression
module is required.
