Condition Potential Causes
Can’t create a
MyKey™
• Key in backup slot is the last remaining admin
key (there always has to be at least one admin
key).
• Key in backup slot is a MyKey™.
• Key is not in the backup slot.
• SecuriLock威 passive anti-theft system is
disabled or in unlimited mode.
• Vehicle has been started using a non
Ford-approved remote start system that is
programmed as MyKey™. Refer to Using
MyKey™ with remote start systems section.
Cannot program the
MyKey™ optional
settings
• Key in backup slot is a MyKey™.
• No MyKeys™ are programmed to the vehicle.

• Vehicle has been started using a non
Ford-approved remote start system that is
programmed as MyKey™. Refer to Using
MyKey™ with remote start systems section.
Cannot clear
MyKey™
• No MyKeys™ are programmed to the vehicle.

Lost the only admin
