Replacing carbon brushes

Removeandcheckthecarbonbrushesregularly.
Replacewhentheyweardowntothelimitmark.Keep
thecarbonbrushescleanandfreetoslipintheholders.
Bothcarbonbrushesshouldbereplacedatthesame
time.Useonlyidenticalcarbonbrushes.
Useascrewdrivertoremovethebrushholdercaps.
Takeouttheworncarbonbrushes,insertthenewones
andsecurethebrushholdercaps.

Afterreplacingbrushes,pluginthetoolandbreakin
brushesbyrunningtoolwithnoloadforabout10min-
utes. Then check the tool while running and electric
brakeoperationwhenreleasingtheswitchtrigger.If
theelectricbrakeisnotworkingcorrectly,havethetool
repairedbyaMakitaservicecenter.
TomaintainproductSAFETYandRELIABILITY,repairs,
anyothermaintenanceoradjustmentshouldbeper-
formedbyMakitaAuthorizedServiceCenters,always
using Makita replacement parts.
