If gas leak continues, remove cylinder from regulator and check for damaged threads, dirt and
debris on regulator and cylinder. If threads are damaged on either regulator or cylinder, do
not use the appliance. Replace regulator or cylinder.
Check to see if anything is obstructing the flow of gas at regulator and cylinder openings.
Remove any obstruction that may be found and repeat leak test.
HANGING POSITION OF GAS CYLINDER
WARNING:
The hanging position of gas cylinder affects regulator operation and hence performance of the
appliance. Make sure gas cylinder hangs at a proper position. Failure to do so will result in
freezing/frosting of the regulator, inconsistent or extinguishing of flame or excessive blow
back which may result in an explosion or fire.
Condition 1 (Optimum position):
The appliance should be placed on
a level and stable noncombustible
table and the grill legs must be in
the unfolded position. Use caution
that the grill does not fall off the
table during use.
Note: The gas cylinder should
hang vertically.
Condition 2 (Acceptable position):
The appliance should be placed on a
horizontal noncombustible surface and
the grill legs must be in the unfolded
position.
Condition 3 (BAD):
Never attempt to use grill with the
legs of the appliance folded and the
gas cylinder laid horizontally or at
an angle to the table.
